Before you go

Practical information for the Varanasi 4 days 3 nights tour

Pickup, drop and timings

Starts: Airport, railway station or hotel in Varanasi

Pickups are arranged from your hotel, the airport or a railway station in Varanasi. We share the car number and driver details before you arrive. Daily start times depend on the plan: most sightseeing begins early to avoid crowds and heat.

What to wear and carry

  • Light, modest clothing for temples (shoulders and knees covered)
  • Comfortable shoes that are easy to remove
  • A scarf or stole, a light jacket in winter, sunscreen and a hat in summer
  • A refillable water bottle and some cash for small purchases
  • Leave leather items and unnecessary electronics at the hotel on temple days

Food and drink

Meals are not included unless listed, so you can choose where to eat. Varanasi is rich in vegetarian street food: kachori sabzi, tamatar chaat, lassi, thandai, Banarasi paan and winter malaiyo. Drink bottled or filtered water.

Hotels and check-in

Standard check-in is around noon and checkout around 11 AM to noon. If you arrive early we start sightseeing and let you check in later. Rooms are on twin sharing; single, triple and family rooms are quoted separately.

Rates are shared in a written quote after you enquire, based on your dates, group size and requirements.

Frequently asked questions about the Varanasi 4 days 3 nights tour

How do I book the Varanasi 4 days 3 nights tour?

Send your travel dates, group size and where you arrive from on WhatsApp, by phone or with the quote form. We reply with a written quote that lists what is included and not included. You confirm once you are happy with the plan.

How much does the Varanasi 4 days 3 nights tour cost?

Rates depend on your dates, group size, hotel category and the season, so we do not publish one fixed price. Share your plan and we send a written quote with an option for each stay type, so you can compare clearly.

Can the Varanasi 4 days 3 nights tour be customised?

Yes. Because the car and guide are private, the plan can be shortened, extended or reordered around your family, mobility, interests and flight or train timings. Tell us what matters and we adjust the itinerary before you pay.

When is the best time to travel?

October to March is the most comfortable season, with Dev Deepawali in November as a special time. Summers are hot, so sightseeing is planned for early mornings and evenings, and the monsoon can restrict the lower ghats and boat routes.

What if the plan changes because of weather, festivals or closures?

Itineraries can shift because of festivals, river levels, security restrictions or temple closures. We always arrange the nearest suitable alternative, tell you in advance and keep the quality of the day the same.

How early should I book?

For October to March and for festivals such as Dev Deepawali or Mahashivratri, book several weeks ahead because hotels near the ghats fill up. Outside the peak season a week is usually enough.

Ayodhya or Prayagraj: which should I choose?

Choose Ayodhya for Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanuman Garhi and the Saryu ghats; it is about 4 to 6 hours each way. Choose Prayagraj for the Triveni Sangam and a boat ride to the confluence; it is about 3 hours each way and easier for elders.

Is the outstation day tiring?

It is the longest day of the trip because of the drive. We leave early, plan lunch near the sights and return by night. If you prefer a gentler plan, choose Prayagraj or stay a night in the other city.

Can I do both Ayodhya and Prayagraj?

Yes, but not in one day. Ask for the 4 night, 5 day Kashi Ayodhya Prayagraj plan, which spreads the route across a night in each city so you are not rushing between long drives.

Which stay options are available?

You can choose without hotel, a budget 3-star, a heritage haveli or boutique stay near the ghats, or a premium property with Ganga or ghat views. The sightseeing and car stay the same; only the hotel category changes.

Is the private car included for the whole trip?

Yes. The tour uses a private air-conditioned car with a driver for the sightseeing in the plan, including tolls, parking and driver charges. Meals, entry tickets and personal expenses are extra.

Are meals, entry tickets and guide fees included?

Meals are not included unless your quote says so, so you can choose where to eat. Monument and museum entry fees are paid on the spot. Your quote lists every inclusion and exclusion in writing.

Is the Varanasi 4 days 3 nights tour suitable for senior citizens and children?

Yes. We can slow the pace, shorten walking distances and choose quieter darshan hours. Please mention any mobility needs, health conditions or dietary preferences when you enquire so we plan the right approach.

What should I wear and carry?

Light, modest clothing with shoulders and knees covered for temples, shoes that are easy to remove, a scarf or stole, sunscreen and a water bottle. Phones, bags and leather items are not allowed inside Kashi Vishwanath, so leave them in the car or at the hotel.
